August 4: Creative Science - Paul Chaleff on the Innovation and Art of Pottery
Saturday, August 4, 2018
Space is limited!
If you think art and science are separate, think again. On Saturday, August 4th, internationally award-winning artist Paul Chaleff explains how physics and chemistry mingle with the craft of pottery. Those familiar with the T House will have already seen some of Chaleff’s work displayed around the café, but this talk provides a rare opportunity to learn directly from a pioneer of American wood-firing. Best known for his colossal sculptures and ceramics, Chaleff has been exhibited at major museums around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian, and Muju Sculpture Park in South Korea. Don’t miss this chance to be inspired by a master!
